Pirate Connor turns 4
Connor turned 4 this year on Christmas Day - we celebrated his birthday a few days early with a Pirate theme and a train ride. The party was super fun and I know he enjoyed every bit of it. He received a bunch of Spider-Man toys and clothes and other fun stuff as well.

Celebrating 30yrs old in New Orleans
Its 2012....I've been pregnant for the last 4 years....I'm turning 30......definitely time to have some fun with no kids in tow. Where do you go when you can't afford to fly to Vegas or NYC? New Orleans of course. Nick and I had never gone before, so thought hey it could be fun. My sister joined us and our good friends Mike and Jenny came along too. We drove 6 hours to party, eat good food, site see, and enjoy some good company.
I will be painting my front door this color one day! The colors on the buildings were beautiful in the French Quarter.
This was one of my favorite places - Nick and I would love to take a tour of this cemetery next time.
We just so happened to look this one up and we were a block away from it in the Garden District so why not stop by. It was for sale for $2.5 million at one time. Nick and I would love to go on the home tour to see these beautiful homes.
At the end of our trip, even though we did not get to see Matthew McConaughey filming his movie in the Garden District - I did get to try grilled oysters (delicious), had a muffuletta, drank a Hurricane and a Grenade, ate beignets, rode on the oldest streetcar, saw some beautiful homes, and enjoyed Bourbon street.

Celebrating St. Nick Day
Our Christmas family tradition is to celebrate St. Nick Day each year. St. Nick Day is usually around December 6th. This is the day that Santa fills the kids stockings and we watch the Veggie Tales St. Nick DVD. Then Christmas Day we focus more on family and our Lord Jesus. Santa tries to make sure the kids are filled with fun gifts for the holiday season. This year they got christmas pjs, a christmas shirt, a christmas book, ornament, and some other fun goodies to play with.
