Fishing Tournament

Last year we found out about a fishing tournament that goes on in The Woodlands for kids up to 13, I believe.  They stock up the pond with tons of catfish and then the kids have a certain amount of time to catch as many fish as possible.  They provide the bait, but you can bring more because they usually run out.  They also give the kids a free tshirt, hotdogs and drinks and a trophy at the end.  There are prizes for the kids who catch the most fish, or the biggest fish, etc.  It is a blast, but makes for a hot day too.  This year was our second time to do this and we learned quickly that Connor loves to fish, but Caden is too young to fish for all he wanted to do was throw everything into the pond and watch it splash.  So not sure if we will be attending next year with Connor and Daddy.  Uncle John and Stephanie came towards the end to watch the fun and excitement.  Here our some fun pictures!

Codi is 7 months old!  We are finally sitting up and very much into playing toys and snuggling with mommy.  She is such a lover and had a blast for her first Christmas.  She enjoyed lights, fireworks, a bonfire, playing with wrapping paper and enjoying family time.  Codi finally got her first tooth in as well!!!

6 months

Codi is 6 months old!  She is a complete doll and such a sweetie.  She is rolling all over the place now and loves to giggle and a definite people watcher.  She got a case of RSV this month which scared me but she is doing better!  She wants to know what is going on and might appear very serious, but once she has your gaze she loves to smile and giggle at you.  Everyone thinks she is the sweetest and most quiet baby ever.  And that she is!!!

Codi's Dedication

Tonight was a special night for our family.  We joined in our church's baby dedication service for Codi to raise her in the Lord and through biblical teachings.  She was dressed in a dress that my mom used for my sister and I when we were little - I'm assuming for our dedication too.  Surprisingly all three kids were in great spirits which made for a nice evening.  We had friends and family come and many of our friends from life group had their kids in the ceremony as well.

5 Months Old

My youngest baby turned 5 months last week.  She is growing up so fast and eager to please everyone.  She is definitely one big smiley baby and loves to laugh and giggle.  Codi will be starting rice cereal this month and then headed into eating her veggies.  She is also starting to roll from front to back and back to side.  She loves sitting in her bumbo chair to watch her brothers play or if the television is on.  She also loves to stick her hands and toes in her mouth - wondering if she is teething!

Weight: 16 pounds 1 ounce

Height: 24 -1/2 inches

Eating: 8 ounces every 5 hours and about to start rice cereal

Sleeping: cat naps during the day and all night!

She is laughing and smiling all the time.  She coos and loves to make sounds.  She loves her feet and is almost rolling over. She can definitely roll to her side.  She loves when her brothers talk to her and play with her on the floor.  She loves looking at the t.v. and sitting in her bumbo chair.  When she cries she has that girly high pitch cry/scream.  She loves her bunny and sucking on her hands.  She loves cuddling with blankets near her face. She loves going for walks.

Here is a picture of Connor, Caden and Codi all at 4 months.  Caden has the #4 on him in orange, Connor is in the Astros outfit, and Codi in the red!

They are starting to look more and more like each other

Pinterest Love

Tonight my church group is having a pinterest party, which by the way I'm so excited about. A Pinterest party by the way is when someone makes something from their Pinterest boards and brings to share with everyone. I wanted to share with you what I completed for the party.  You can look at this post of mine to see the images I copied from.

1. Verse of the Week hanging plaque

I bought a vintage cheese plate and sprayed it with Heirloom White.

Then I sanded the edges and stained them.

I bought chalk board paint and painted the areas I wanted to write on with the black paint. Then at the top visually copied the lettering from my inspiration photo and painted it.

2. I made ornaments for my babies that included their picture and birth stats. They are not complete yet. I bought 2" cubes and typed and printed their info on stationary paper. Then I cut each square out and modge podged it to the cube. I still need to buy some hoop hooks and ribbon so they can hang on the tree
